I love creating plans, lists, schedules, spreadsheets, pretty much anything that allows me to create structure out of chaos. Therefore, I’m excitedly designing my 2016 goals and plans. I didn’t start 2015 with much structure in my business, which resulted in not having a clear focus. I’m ready to do things differently in 2016 and it’s all thanks to running!
When I train for a race, I spend a couple weeks researching and planning my training schedule. I outline it on a calendar so that I know exactly what I am going to run and when. Then when the day comes, I don’t have to think I just do. The key is to believe and trust in the process.
The same goes for business planning. Although there are a lot more variables when it comes to running a business, I know that creating structure and consistency will pay off and yield the results I desire. The key is to have an end goal, knowing that every action is working towards that end goal.
With running, my end goal is qualifying for the Boston Marathon. I know with each completed run and proper recovery I am getting my body and mind ready for the longest race of my life.
With my business, my end goal is revenue. Moving forward, I know that every designed/planned action I take in my business will be leading me to new business opportunities and my desired income.
The key is taking action and trust that it is the right action at the right time. It’s also important to know when not to take action, rest, re-evaluate and recover.
As we wrap up 2015 and venture into 2016, I welcome you to take an inventory of what needs to change for you in the new year so that you can confidently reach your goals. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know and we can talk about it!
Have a Very Happy New Year!
Love and Happiness,
